Former three-star recruit still looks like a high-upside, physical fit for Cincinnati
Holcomb arrived at Cincinnati as a consensus three-star linebacker and national top-100 LB prospect, with a strong prep résumé that included 182 career tackles, 9.5 sacks, and a 2024 conference defensive player of the year award. His appeal is clear: he brings size, downhill physicality, and a proven knack for production, plus the kind of intensity coaches love in the middle of a defense. The caveat is that his 2025 stat line was empty in available season stats, so this is still more projection than proven college output. If you want a developmental defender with upside and special-teams value, he’s a sensible add.
