From SMU Commit to Longview Lobos DL Coach
Brandon Bonds, a defensive tackle from Cooper, TX, committed to the SMU Mustangs in 2003 and graduated in 2006, but no college performance stats are available—likely due to limited playtime or era gaps. High school highlights from Islands (2022-23) show modest production with 9 total tackles, 2 solo, and 1 sack over ~3 games (3.0 tackles/game, above nat'l avg 2.8). Now a seasoned coach for Longview Lobos' defensive line since prior to 2025, his experience makes him a strong fit for teams seeking gritty, technically sound players or coaching staff with Mustang pedigree and Texas HS roots.
