Tafon Mainsah brings veteran DB production and ball skills to Richmond
A redshirt senior defensive back for Richmond, Tafon Mainsah stands out as a proven playmaker with veteran polish: earlier in his Spider career he logged 108 tackles, 6 interceptions, and 32 pass breakups across 40 games, and his profile reflects a player who can impact coverage, support the run, and create turnovers. He was also a team captain and helped Richmond reach multiple FCS playoff runs, which signals trust, toughness, and steady leadership—exactly the kind of glue-guy defensive back coaches love.
