Oregon’s high-motor safety who was a menace on special teams
In the 2003 season, Keith Lewis was a second-team All-Pac-10 safety and a Jim Thorpe Award watch-list name, with 80 tackles and 5 interceptions, while his calling card was relentless edge, field-wide range, and real havoc on special teams, including a school-record seven blocked kicks over his Oregon career.[9][3] He’s the kind of player coaches love because the box score only tells part of the story: physical, vocal, disruptive, and fearless, with enough intensity to change momentum in a hurry.[5][13]
