Griffin Rooney brings veteran size, special-teams juice, and dependable glue-guy value to Lafayette
In the 2023 season, Griffin Rooney played in all 12 games for Lafayette at wide receiver and on special teams, made 3 catches for 40 yards, and earned the team’s Special Teams MVP award[1]. He also recovered a fumble in the Lehigh win and was praised as a steady, high-effort contributor—more “trusted sideline-to-sideline competitor” than flashy stat monster[1][15]. At 6-foot-2 and 203 pounds in 2023, he offers size, physicality, and roster versatility; he looks like a strong fit for a team that values toughness, special teams, and reliable depth[1].
