Kian Scroggins brings old-school paint production and board work for Sam Houston
In the 2024-25 season, Kian Scroggins emerged as a high-efficiency frontcourt piece for Sam Houston, averaging 7.7 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 54.3% from the field in 19.5 minutes per game. The 6-foot-7 senior forward’s calling card is simple and useful: he rebounds, finishes, and plays with a steady, physical edge rather than flashy shot-making. His value is amplified by his toughness and consistency—he became a key contributor, made five starts, and even posted a 19-point game, making him the kind of glue guy coaches love.
