Kelly Turbin is a veteran, high-IQ Cal Poly defender with engineer-level discipline
Kelly Turbin brings more than edge-rush talent: Cal Poly’s civil-engineering alum has built a reputation around gratitude, leadership, and relentless time management while balancing elite academics and football. He was a running back in high school before developing into a defensive end, which gives him an unusual feel for the game and a broader athletic background. The best fit for him is a program that values toughness, maturity, and steady development over flash—he looks like a dependable culture piece who understands the grind.
