old-school Buckeye TE who brought toughness, dependable hands, and steady production
Ben Hartsock was a rugged Ohio State tight end whose value showed up in the 2003 season, when he caught 33 passes for 290 yards and 2 touchdowns, after posting 17 catches for 137 yards and 2 scores in 2002. He wasn’t a flashy mismatch weapon, but he was a reliable, physical target with good length (6'4") and enough athletic juice to test well in pre-draft work, especially in agility. If a team wants a tough, assignment-sound TE who can block, earn trust, and do the dirty work without drama, Hartsock fits that bill nicely.
