Iowa’s dependable, old-school TE who made his mark in big moments
Ryan Majerus was a steady, team-first tight end for Iowa in the 2003-2005 seasons, best remembered for clutch production and special-teams value rather than gaudy volume. In 2005, he caught the go-ahead 13-yard touchdown against No. 19 Wisconsin, his second career TD, and he also started the first two games that season, showing the trust Iowa had in him[8][13]. He was named Academic All-Big Ten in 2003, 2004, and 2005, which fits the Hawkeye mold: reliable, disciplined, and low-drama. If a roster wants a smart, physical, assignment-sound TE who won’t hurt you, Majerus is the type.
