high-IQ Michigan State guard and trusted 3-and-D specialist
McQuaid was a valuable Michigan State guard because he paired reliable perimeter shooting with a defensive edge, earning MSU’s Best Defensive Player honor while knocking down 39.1% of his threes and averaging 6.0 points in 20.5 minutes during his 2018-19 college season.[2] He also showed real shot-making upside, including a 27-point career high against Michigan, but his game was always more about toughness, spacing, and smart team basketball than gaudy box scores.[1][2] If you want a disciplined role player who can guard, hit open shots, and stay composed in big moments, he fits.
