Michael Madigan brings left-handed depth to George Mason’s pitching staff
Madigan is a sophomore left-handed pitcher for George Mason who was a freshman in 2025 and returned in 2026, giving the Patriots a young arm with room to grow[1][6][7]. In his 2025 season, he took a few early lumps — including losses against Georgetown and Duke — but that kind of baptism-by-fire can be useful for evaluating resilience and how a pitcher responds under pressure[5][14]. His value is less about flash right now and more about projectability: a lefty arm, bullpen/rotation flexibility, and the kind of developmental upside teams like to stash. If you want a polished, proven strikeout monster today, he’s not that yet; if you want a buy-low pitcher with traits worth cultivating, Madigan is interesting.
