Blake Lucas brings reliable short-range scoring to UMass
Lucas is a steady, lower-volume **place kicker** for Massachusetts whose appeal is consistency on routine kicks rather than big-leg flash; ESPN lists him at **56.5% on field goals** and **92.0% on extra points** with a **long of 42** in his UMass profile.[6] He has shown he can handle game-day opportunities, including a 2012 stretch where UMass noted he was **5-for-6 on field goals** and hit from **23, 26, and 35 yards**.[3] For a team, he profiles as a dependable specialist if you value accuracy and composure over range.[3][6]
