versatile, long-armed forward with a legit academic-and-upside profile
Bernard Cherestal brings a classic forward frame at 6-8 and a reputation as a high-character, high-upside depth piece, originally joining Southern Illinois as a walk-on and majoring in biological sciences with plans for anesthesiology. The most useful context on him is less about flashy box-score production and more about fit: he has size, played multiple seasons across his college career, and has been recognized for academic success, which suggests discipline and coachability. If your team values length, maturity, and a team-first grinder over instant-stats pop, he’s the kind of player worth a closer look.
