Cal Poly’s ball-hawking former CB-turned-coach
Asa Jackson is best known for his disruptive play at Cal Poly, where he finished with school-record ball production and a reputation as a physical, instinctive defensive back; his college career included 8 interceptions for 307 return yards, 40 pass deflections, and 3 defensive touchdowns, plus 42 starts in 43 games. He later played six NFL seasons, which adds credibility to his technique and understanding of pro-level coverage details. For a team, he profiles as a high-IQ, competitive DB with proven production and special-teams value, though his pro career was more about depth and versatility than shutdown dominance.[15][11][2]
