Defensive-driven Cal guard with a proven winner’s resume
Eliza Pierre was a tone-setting, defense-first guard for California, finishing her Cal career with 243 steals, 140 games played, and a key role in the Bears’ 2013 Final Four run; she was a four-time Pac-10/12 All-Defensive Team selection and won the team’s defensive MVP award, which tells you her value went well beyond scoring. Her statistical profile from 2012-13 was modest offensively, but her calling card was disruption, toughness, and consistency—exactly the kind of high-intensity, low-maintenance player coaches trust in pressure moments.
