Steady, powerful Miami guard with proven ACC pedigree
In the 2006 season, Derrick Morse started all 12 games at right guard for Miami and earned honorable mention All-ACC recognition, grading at 84 percent while allowing just one sack.[1][3] He was also praised by the program as a committed, consistent, hard-working lineman with strong hands, good footwork, and the mobility to fit zone and pulling schemes—exactly the kind of interior blocker who raises a team’s floor.[3] Earlier scouting described him as a dominant high school lineman and elite pancake-machine, and Miami’s staff viewed him as dependable enough to work at center as well.[3]
