Sid Slater brings veteran linebacker toughness to Cal
Sid Slater is a physical, experienced linebacker for California whose value shows up in the dirty work: he has 20 solo tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, and zero interceptions in the cited ESPN stat line, while Cal’s official bio says he rebounded from major knee surgery and still made significant contributions. That combination suggests a player with toughness, reliability, and recovery resilience rather than flashy production. If you want a linebacker who can battle through adversity and play with edge, he fits; if you need elite splash-play volume, the resume is more steady than spectacular.
