Denzel Hill brings Columbia veteran size and savvy to the defensive backfield
In the 2026 season, Denzel Hill is a senior 6-foot-3 defensive back at Columbia with the kind of length, experience, and versatility that coaches love in a secondary piece[1]. He entered college as a receiver and later moved to defense, a switch that usually signals strong instincts and ball skills; Columbia also previously noted his size/speed combination and big-play ability[4][5]. His background includes overcoming an injury that cut short the end of his 2017 season, so he looks like a battle-tested, high-ceiling fit for a team needing an experienced DB who can adapt quickly[4][9].
