versatile, high-motor Jackrabbit defensive back with special-teams value
Jake Aanderud profiles as a tough, adaptable defensive back who brings energy, effort and lineup flexibility to South Dakota State. In his 2021 season at Augustana, he appeared in four games and even flashed disruptive ability by recording a tackle and forcing a fumble, hinting at a player who plays with an edge and can create chaos around the ball. He’s the kind of DB teams like for his competitiveness, willingness to tackle, and potential to contribute beyond pure coverage—especially on special teams and in multiple roles.
