UAB's 2005-06 Rim-Protecting Reserve Forward
Brandon Tobias, a 6'7" forward for the UAB Blazers in 2005-06, delivered as a key bench contributor on a 22-11 squad that reached the NCAA Tournament's second round, averaging 2.6 points and 2.1 rebounds while ranking second on the team with 15 blocks—showcasing elite shot-blocking instincts and length that deterred drivers. His season-high 10 points and 6 rebounds highlighted untapped scoring potential, making him a gritty, high-motor role player ideal for teams needing affordable frontcourt depth and defensive versatility without needing a starter's minutes.
