Versatile Morgan State DB with special-teams value and proven playmaking
Carl Garnes brings value as a rangy, multi-role defensive back who has also handled punt and kick return duties, giving Morgan State flexibility and a clear special-teams edge. In the 2019 season, Morgan State recognized him as a standout in the secondary, and an HBCU Combine note said he finished tied for third in the league in that category, underscoring his impact. He’s a physical, experience-based fit for teams that want a DB who can cover, tackle, and contribute beyond standard snaps.
