Steady UTEP DB with Limited Public Production Data
Matt McShane is a defensive back for UTEP whose publicly available profile shows a classic depth-and-development defender: he’s listed at 5-foot-10, 185 pounds, and ESPN’s current player page shows 4 solo tackles, 0 interceptions, 0 forced fumbles, and 0 passes defended. That stat line doesn’t scream headline-grabber, but it does suggest a player whose value comes more from reliability, assignment discipline, and role fit than splash plays. If you want a hard-nosed DB who can settle into a system and do the dirty work, he’s the kind of under-the-radar piece worth watching.
