high-IQ speed threat and veteran middle-infield presence at UMass Lowell
Avery Spinello-Branch profiles as a disruptive, speed-first middle infielder for UMass Lowell, with a proven knack for turning one base-hit into immediate pressure—she was the River Hawks’ 2025 single-season stolen-base leader and has already shown heads-up baserunning that creates runs beyond the box score. In 2026, she has been a steady contributor offensively and a top-of-lineup type fit, with a career batting line of .281/.337 in D1Softball’s tracked stats. She looks like a strong fit for teams that value athleticism, instincts, and game-changing speed over pure power.
