Under-the-radar Illinois forward with size, poise, and a team-first fit
Lyric Robins is a 5-foot-11 forward from Plano, Texas, who arrived at Illinois as a highly regarded recruit—ranked No. 104 nationally by Prospects Nation and rated a four-star prospect by ESPN and ProspectsNation. In Illinois’ 2021-22 season, she was valued for efficient inside play, strong rebounding, and defensive activity, including a team-best shooting percentage of .593 in 2021-22. She stands out as a smart, low-drama frontcourt piece who can do the dirty work, but the big question is health and availability after a career that included a redshirt season and limited scoring volume. Good fit if you want toughness, efficiency, and reliability over flash.
