Jason Root adds depth and physicality at fullback for UAlbany
Jason Root is a role-player to watch because fullbacks matter most when they do the dirty work, and Albany’s offense has leaned on physical, assignment-sound football in recent seasons. Publicly available team and roster information confirms his spot with the Great Danes, but there is limited reliable stat data and no strong public profile to suggest he is a featured offensive weapon[4][6]. For a team seeking a tough, low-ego blocker who can create leverage in the run game and steady a locker room, he profiles more as a fit for structure and reliability than for headline numbers[4][9].
