Albany’s Explosive, Versatile Playmaker With Big-Play Juice
Donovan McDonald has been one of Albany’s most dynamic all-purpose threats, with ESPN listing him at 44 career receptions for 611 yards and 2 touchdowns, and his 2019 season included 16 catches for 228 yards plus a 98-yard kickoff return TD — the longest in UAlbany program history. He stands out for speed, return-game value, and versatility, not just receiver polish, which makes him a fit for teams that want instant field-position impact and a spark plug with proven game-breaking ability. The play style is energetic and fearless: he’s the kind of weapon defenses have to account for every snap.
