Compact Powerhouse RB with Explosive Vision and Resilience
At 5-9, 200 lbs, Alphonso Soko is a shifty, determined running back who erupted for 284 rushing yards and a 74-yard TD in a 2021 Coe College win, with four 100+ yard games that season, proving his big-play ability despite his undersized frame[1][4][6]. His refugee roots from Liberia to Iowa fuel an inspiring grit, overcoming a troubled teen phase to earn a CFB scholarship—think relentless intensity and heart that elevates teams[7]. No recent UNI Panthers stats found post-Coe (possibly walked on?), but his differentiator is matchup nightmares for defenses; perfect fit for gap-scheme offenses needing a tough, explosive change-of-pace back. Care because he's a comeback story with proven clutch production.
