Shawn Antoine II brings veteran linebacker energy to Rhode Island’s defense
Shawn Antoine II is a name worth watching because Rhode Island has long listed him as part of its linebacker/safety hybrid defensive mix, suggesting range, versatility, and the kind of back-seven flexibility coaches love. Publicly available current stat lines for his 2026 season are limited, so the most useful takeaway is profile-based: he appears to be a multi-role defender with experience in a program that emphasizes discipline and physicality. If your team wants a tough, adaptable defender who can handle varied assignments, he fits the mold.
