Jacob Fields has emerged as a useful junior right-hander in A&T’s 2026 pitching mix
In the 2026 season, Jacob Fields has shown he can give North Carolina A&T innings in different roles, including a 3 1/3-inning start against Winthrop with 5 strikeouts and 3 walks and a scoreless relief outing against Georgetown. He profiles as a strike-throwing righty with some swing-and-miss ability, but his command can wander at times. Why care? He looks like the kind of dependable, adaptable arm teams need to stabilize a staff, especially if you value competitiveness and flexibility over pure overpowering stuff.
