the Lobos’ late-inning fireman with proven close-it-out juice
In the 2025 season, Ty Cunningham was one of New Mexico’s most valuable bullpen arms, logging 10 saves to rank 18th nationally and 6th in the Mountain West, while posting a 5.91 ERA with 26 strikeouts across 32.0 innings. He’s a big-bodied righty (6-3, 215) who has shown he can handle leverage, with multiple game-saving outings and a reputation for settling chaos when the Lobos need a calm finisher. If your team needs toughness, strike-throwing in pressure spots, and a pitcher who has already proven he can close, he fits the bill.
