Nathaniel Pimentel brings left-handed upside to Cal State Bakersfield
In the 2026 season, Nathaniel Pimentel has shown raw arm talent and development upside as a freshman left-handed pitcher for Cal State Bakersfield, with a 1-0 record, 12.38 ERA, 8.0 innings, and 9 strikeouts across 9 appearances. The real selling point is the ceiling: CSUB’s staff has described him as a lefty with “big stuff” and a “massive ceiling,” noting strong summer progress against college competition. He looks like a high-upside arm worth watching if your team wants projectable left-handed depth rather than an immediate finished product.
