old-school, pressure-first linebacker with a nose for the quarterback
Derek Swindall’s verified public profile is from his Wofford years, where he was listed as a 6-2, 215-pound outside linebacker and described as a "solid linebacker at getting pressure on the quarterback" with a "natural pass rusher" reputation and a relentless motor.[2][4][12] That profile screams fit for a defense that values edge urgency, effort, and chase-down toughness more than splashy counting stats, but there isn’t current season production available in the accessible sources to judge his 2026 form.[1][15]
