John Torp gives Colorado a field-position weapon with elite hang time and net-punt value
John Torp is a left-footed Colorado punter whose biggest selling point is field position: Colorado’s roster notes credit his punting with helping the Buffaloes lead the nation in net punting at 42.43 yards in the 2025 season. Historically, he’s been praised for booming, high-hang-time kicks, but scouts also noted he can out-kick coverage if the operation is slow. For a team that values flipping the field and trusting a specialist in pressure moments, he looks like a strong fit.
