Purdue’s tiny-but-mighty floor general with big-time Big Ten value
In the 2011-12 season, Lewis Jackson was the kind of guard Purdue could trust to keep the offense humming: he averaged 10.4 points and a team-best 4.2 assists per game, led the Boilermakers in assists 27 times, and finished his career ranked second in Purdue history in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.15) and seventh in assists (456). He was an honorable mention All-Big Ten pick in 2011 and 2012, plus a Bob Cousy Award candidate, which tracks for a 5-foot-9 guard whose game was built on pace, poise, and edge rather than flash.
