Eric Freeny is an emerging 3-and-D glue guard for UCLA
In 2025-26, Freeny turned into a useful rotation piece for UCLA, averaging 2.0 points and 1.6 rebounds in 11.0 minutes while shooting 37.5% from three, with his role growing late in the season. His calling cards are energy, rebounding for a guard, and disruptive defense; UCLA sources also note he was one of the team’s better perimeter shooters in limited volume and a “sparkplug” when minutes expanded.
