Tulane adds a high-upside 6-foot-6 lefty with proven strikeout ability
Beau Sampson enters Tulane as a long, left-handed reliever with real upside: he posted a 2.51 ERA and 34 strikeouts in 32.1 innings at Salt Lake CC in 2024, then handled a tougher jump to Oklahoma in 2025 with 10 strikeouts in 10.2 relief innings, though his 11 walks show the command still needs sharpening. He stands out for deception and matchup value against lefties, and Tulane appears to be betting on a durable, power-frame arm who can miss bats if the strike zone tightens.
