a depth-defining Stony Brook DL with room to pop
Chris Merkle is listed as a defensive end on Stony Brook’s roster, but the available sources here do not include current-season production or advanced stat-leader data, so the safest read is that he profiles as a developmental front-line piece rather than a proven headline-maker[3]. His value case is tied to size and positional fit in the trenches, and if he brings consistent edge-setting, motor, and reliable assignment football, he could be a useful fit for a defense looking for steady line depth[3].
