Clemson’s high-volume, YAC-heavy spark plug
Artavis Scott was a do-everything Clemson weapon who, in the 2014 season, posted 76 catches for 965 yards and 8 receiving touchdowns, then followed with 93 catches for 901 yards in 2015 and 76 more receptions in 2016. He stood out for elite after-the-catch production, quickness, and versatility as both a receiver and returner, making him more than a box-score player. Clemson’s records list him as the school’s career receptions leader with 245 catches, a strong clue that he was the reliable, chain-moving type coaches love.
