Old Dominion's Reliable Long Snapper with 11-Game Consistency
John Morton, the Old Dominion Monarchs' long snapper (LS), delivered 11 consecutive games of reliable holding on extra points and field goals in 2022, following a 13-game season in 2021 where he long-snapped punts and held on scoring attempts. His differentiator isn't just accuracy—it's his intense, no-drama intensity under pressure and a personality that thrives in high-stakes moments without flinching. Morton has no known injury history, making him a low-risk, high-intensity fit for any team needing a steady, dependable snapper who elevates the special teams unit with quiet leadership. You should care because he’s the unsung anchor who ensures scoring plays go smoothly, and he’s a perfect fit for teams prioritizing consistency and mental toughness over flashy stats.
