Herbert Jones is a defensive difference-maker with proven two-way value
Herbert Jones is a high-impact forward whose calling card is elite defense, energy, and versatility—he was an AP Third Team All-American and a finalist for Naismith Trophy Defensive Player of the Year in 2021 at Alabama.[3] In the 2025-26 NBA regular season, he has been a secondary scorer for New Orleans at 8.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game, so the value is less about volume and more about disruption, toughness, and fitting next to better scorers.[1] If you want a rugged, low-maintenance glue player who can guard multiple spots and elevate team intensity, he is a strong fit.[3][1]
