Matt Mines brings veteran edge and run-stopping grit to Stetson’s front
Matt Mines is a veteran Stetson defensive lineman who profiles as a steady, physical presence in the Hatters’ rotation, with his value coming more from disciplined line play and toughness than eye-popping stat lines. Publicly available 2026 stat pages don’t show a breakout production spike, so his appeal is the kind coaches love: dependable effort, length, and a body built to eat blocks and keep linebackers clean. If you want a low-drama, high-reliability DL who plays with edge and understands the assignment, Mines fits the bill.
