a name to watch in ULM’s secondary
Dedrick Buckels is a Louisiana-Monroe safety worth tracking because he profiles as a physical, defense-first piece in the Warhawks’ back end, but there isn’t enough reliable public stat or scouting data available here to credibly call out a current 2026 performance trend. The upside case is simple: if he’s on the field, a safety with length, toughness, and downhill urgency can quietly become a fit for teams that value run support, communication, and special-teams grit over splashy box-score numbers.
