Tommy Groom brings veteran size and swing-and-miss upside to UNF’s bullpen
Tommy Groom, a 6-foot-4 graduate right-hander for North Florida in the 2026 season, stands out as a power arm with real bullpen depth value and prior strikeout success at the junior-college level. North Florida’s 2025 preview noted his excellent strikeout numbers, and he entered the 2026 season after posting a 2.38 ERA with 8 strikeouts in 8 innings in 2025; however, his 2026 line has also shown volatility, including a rough outing against Florida. He looks like a fit for teams wanting a big, experienced RHP who can miss bats, but consistency remains the swing factor.
