Tim Sams brings veteran safety depth to Idaho’s back end
Tim Sams is a safety/defensive back for the Idaho Vandals who appears in older Idaho roster and two-deep listings, but there isn’t reliable current-season statistical production available in the sources surfaced here. The useful takeaway: he’s a depth-and-development defender rather than a box-score headline, so the fit question is more about reliability, special-teams value, and practice consistency than splash plays. If you want a roster piece who can absorb the system, tackle cleanly, and give the secondary versatility, that’s the lane Sams fits best.
