Aidan Boice is flashing starter-level upside for UMBC
In the 2026 season, Boice has shown real growth as a 6-foot-5, 235-pound right-hander: he earned his first win with 1.1 scoreless innings against Monmouth, then logged his first career start with 3.0 innings and just one unearned run allowed against George Washington, before delivering his best outing yet with 6.0 innings, two runs, five strikeouts and only one walk at Towson.[1][2][3] He profiles as a downhill, projectable arm with a mid-80s fastball and a starter’s frame, giving UMBC a durable, strike-throwing option with sneaky upside rather than just bullpen bulk.[4][5]
