Brandon Slater brings veteran edge to the Eastern Michigan defensive front
A senior DL at Eastern Michigan, Brandon Slater is a seasoned, reliable presence with 36 career games and 30 starts, which screams trust from the coaching staff. In the 2011 spring conditioning work noted by EMU, he earned an Iron Eagle award for top performance among his position group, a nice hint that he brings effort and toughness, not just size. His profile points to a workmanlike interior defender who can help stabilize a line, and that kind of experience is exactly the sort of glue piece teams love.
