James Cochran brings SEC-sized length and developmental upside to Mississippi State
James Cochran is a big-bodied interior offensive line prospect for Mississippi State, listed at 6-6 and 280 pounds in 2026 recruiting/player listings, with the frame to keep adding power and play multiple spots inside[1][2]. The main appeal is upside: his length, size, and guard flexibility fit the Bulldogs’ physical SEC style, but he still looks more like a developmental lineman than a finished product, so teams should care most if they value projection, coachability, and long-term growth over instant impact[1][2].
