Longwood guard Michael Smith brings size, steadiness, and lineup flexibility
Michael Smith is a 6-2 freshman guard for Longwood who gives the Lancers a compact, physical backcourt option with good positional fit at the college level.[3] Because the available public data on his game is limited, the clearest takeaway is his upside as a developmental guard: a sturdy frame, traditional guard size, and a roster profile that suggests he can grow into a reliable role player if he sharpens shot-making, decision-making, and pace control. He looks like a fit for a team that values patience, defense, and long-term upside over instant stat production.[3]
