New Mexico State’s defensive-back name to watch, but public football data is thin
DJ Hawkins is listed as a defensive back for New Mexico State, but publicly available football-specific production data, rankings, and scouting notes are limited right now, so the cleanest read is that he’s more of a watch-list player than a fully documented breakout. If your team likes DBs with upside and room to define their game, that can be interesting—but there isn’t enough verified stat-leader or opinion data here to sell him as a known difference-maker yet.
