The “Mountain” on EWU’s Offensive Front
Ryan Nilles is an Eastern Washington offensive lineman who arrived with a sturdy power profile and real edge—he was a first-team All-Caribou Trail League pick in high school, won state shot put, and earned the nickname “Mountain” for a reason. Eastern Washington’s roster bio shows he was listed as a reserve left guard in 2018 after redshirting in 2017, signaling a developmental lineman with size, toughness, and versatility rather than flashy stats. If a team wants a physical, hard-nosed OL with upside and a blue-collar temperament, he fits the mold.
